Visa:
Most nationalities can obtain from airport at arrived.

Please contact the embassy of Yemen at your country or contact to make sure there are no problems obtaining entry visa.

Customs:
Entry is allowed for 2 liters of alcohol (for non Muslims), 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars, 250 grams of pipe tobacco, women are allowed to bring reasonable quantities of cosmetics and jewels. No restrictions on stills cameras. Video cameras should be declared, details may be entered into your passport to ensure leaving the country with you when you leave. No restrictions on amount of foreign currency and traveler cheques brought into the country.

Currency : Riyal (YR.) is the country’s currency
Bank Notes : 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 & 1000, all with Arabic script in the front and English on the reverse
Coins : 5 and 10 Rails
Exchange rate : $1~ 188 Riyal
 
Credit Cards : 
-American Express (representative) Marib Travel and Tourism, Amex card / Visa / MasterCard are acceptable in most  hotels.
Traveler Cheques: can be exchanged in most banks at bank rates. It is advisable not to relay on traveler cheques exclusively.
Cash : It is recommended that you use cash instead of travelers cheques. Cash is easier to handle and relatively safe to carry around and quick to exchange. Some shopping stores require cash.

Communication:
GSM & CDMA cellular phones will work in yemen under the roaming system.
